The second incarnation of CARRY-ON: Puerto Rico Inspected comes to NYC November 15, 2011 as part of the BORIMIX Puerto Rico Fest 2011 Visual Arts Exhibits, curated by Beto Torrens and Anabel Vázquez Rodriguez. CARRY-ON: Puerto Rico Inspected presents a multi-media contemporary exhibition glimpsing into the vehement beauty of the work that is being produced in Puerto Rico and its diasporas.

CARRY-ON: Puerto Rico Inspected captures the unique style of each individual artist in the haunting allure the exhibit as a whole embodies, work that is both contemporary and volatile. CARRY-ON: Puerto Rico Inspected explores various ideas within the insular background of the artists. Ideas such as the portability of the physical artwork, its journey here and its self reflections exploring the complex layers of social, political, and economical realities.

This exhibit originally opened September 23, 2011 at LA GALERÍA at Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción IBA (Puerto Rican Tenants in Action) based in the community of Villa Victoria, Boston, MA. A first time curatorial collaboration with guest curator Beto Torrens from la Galería Yemaya in San Juan, Puerto Rico and Anabel Vázquez Rodríguez, curator and manager of LA GALERÍA.

This dynamic national-transnational collaboration aims to extend boundaries and disseminate forward Puerto Rican contemporary arts and culture.
